The Orioles (19-9) have sole possesion of the best record in baseball, holding a 1/2 game lead over the Rays and a full game over the Nationals, Rangers, Dodgers. They did it Sunday with an entertaining pitching duel between first basemen Chris Davis and Red Sox Outfielder and former Oriole Darnell McDonald. Davis was 0-8 from the plate in the game with 5 strikeouts, but got two of them back when he struck out two Boston batters, including silver-slugger Adrian Gonzalez.

The O’s will look to continue their winning ways and hold on to first place in the American League against the reigning World Series runner ups, the Texas Rangers. After winning 5/6 against the Yankees and Red Sox, the Orioles aren’t scared of any team in the majors right now.

Series Prediction:

O’s, Rangers, O’s — 2-1 Orioles win.
